Unique LA
Despite the hustle and bustle of the holiday shopping season and the notorious weekend traffic, we headed to Los Angeles' Fashion District to check out Unique LA. This curated shopping event showcased local independent artists, designers and food vendors who were selling their beautiful and/or delicious handmade goods. Like its name states, this market had numerous unique items from bacon nuts, lemon lotions, handcrafted s'mores, designer graphic t-shirts, one of a kind jewelry, art prints and much much more. In addition to the plethora of goods, Unique created an innovative shopping experience with many amenities for its shoppers. They offered snacks and drinks, charging stations, lounges, diy crafts, photo portraits and even mini manicures - all of which were included with the price of admission. Located on the penthouse floor of the California Market Center, you could easily wander each aisle while browsing the spectacular items and conversing directly with the creators.
What did we pick up? Among the many, highlights included silk screened prints of Breaking Bad, tea drop gift sets and of course, a Taco Dinosaur tee from one of our inspirations, David Murray of Seibei.
This fabulous event occurs three times a year in LA (this time it was Dec 5-6, 2015).
General admission was $10 for adults, free for kids under 12 years of age.
It's nice to see that the Fashion District has branded its walkways.
Loved the entry signage to Unique LA as we stepped out of the elevators.
The event was buzzing with activity right from the start.
